We would like to ask your attention and collaboration for an important survey among the stakeholders of smart fabrics and interactive textiles in Europe. The objective is to find out, what you consider to be the opportunities for this emerging industry. At the same time we wish to identify bottlenecks and any obstacles in order to improve the support structures and support measures to strengthen Europe’s position in this field.

SysTex gives the opportunity to underline and to promote your ideas and projects to transform them into the dynamic of tomorrow. Submit your proposal (4 pages report with picture or/and media content) no later than 31st Aug 2009. Win the chance to present your idea or project with a media cover during the 1st joined European workshop Smart Textiles Salon 25th September 2009 (www.SmartTextilesSalon.com) The SysTex award is addressed to students involved in smart textiles and/or intelligent textiles systems. The award includes: *Participation and presentation of the project at the Smart Textiles Salon in Ghent, BE (including travel, accommodation and fees for the framework conferences) * Publication in the SysTex Newsletters * A surprise
