…gives you the opportunity to create your own smart textile.

Award ceremony…

…will be held to honour a student for outstanding work with the SYSTEX Student Award 2010. The work will be shown in the exhibition area. More information available at www.systex.org.

CALL FOR DEMONSTRATORS & PROTOTYPES

Submission of a demonstrator or a prototype requires completing the application form which was sent with this e-mail and is available on the website www.SYSTEX.org. All proposals must be in English and sent to the email address Lina.Rambausek@UGent.be no later than 17 September 2010. All submissions will receive a delivery receipt via e-mail. Selected contributions will be notified latest 21 September 2010. The demonstrators and prototypes of interest should fit in the scope of the exhibition being textile based or integrable into textile systems. After receiving the confirmation for acceptance of the prototype, the presenting person has to register online for the Smart Textiles Salon 2010.

The SMART TEXTILES SALON is organised in the framework of the European projects SYSTEX. FP7 coordination action for enhancing the break-through of e-textiles and wearable micro systems in Europe (www.systex.org)

SYSTEX aims at developing a framework for current and future actions in research, education and technology transfer in the field of e-textiles and wearable micro systems in Europe to support the textile industry to transform into a dynamic, innovative, knowledge-driven, competitive and sustainable sector.

The Smart Textiles Salon 2010 is organised by Ghent University

in cooperation with the Plastic Electronics Foundation.
