Call for Prototypes - It’s SHOWTIME!

WHAT? The Smart Textiles Salon is back! We proudly present the second edition of the SMART TEXTILES SALON (STS) in Ghent (BE), on 21 April 2011. For this reason, we would like to invite you to actively contribute to the success of the interactive exhibition by submitting your prototype. The prototype should fit in the scope of the exhibition being textile based or compatible with intelligent textile systems.  

WHEN? All documents must be in English and submitted with pictures in high resolution (300dpi) to Judith.Kenis@UGent.be no later than 15 March 2011. The template for submission can be found on www.smarttextilessalon.com. You will receive an e-mail confirming the submission and the selected contributions will be notified latest 31 March 2011. The exhibition space is limited to a maximum of 20 prototypes. All participants have to register for STS or workshop on Smart Textiles.

HOW? Timeline and checklist for a successful prototype submission 

¨15 March 2011: submission of template + pictures to Judith.Kenis@UGent.be
¨31 March 2011: confirmation of acceptance by SYSTEX/UGent
¨15 April 2011: registration for the Smart Textiles Salon and/or the event SMART TEXTILES (www.ivpv.ugent.be/en/index.htm)
¨20 April 2011, 5 pm: mounting of prototypes
¨20 April 2011, 7 pm: reception for exhibitors
¨21 April 2011, 8 am: Press conference
¨21 April 2011, 9 am: SMART TEXTILES SALON 2011

Student discounts are available on request. This does not apply for PhD students.
